This catalogue describes the historical and contemporary documents and objects held in the Royal College of Physicians archives and museum. As products of their time periods, some contain images and language which are inappropriate and offensive. We preserve these documents and objects for research, and we acknowledge that they do not all represent the RCP’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
Some of the language used to describe the items in this catalogue is inappropriate and offensive. We are currently undertaking an ongoing project to review the terms used in descriptions.
